When attending the surgery with respiratory symptoms, for example a cough or cold, please wear a face covering.
Currently the surgery runs the following clinics:
Family planning: All forms of family planning is offered by consultation during normal surgery hours. Emergency contraception is available without consultation, although it is preferred that you speak to a doctor.
Cervical smears: It is recommended that women between the ages of 25 and 50 have a cervical smear at three yearly intervals. Then every five years to the age of 65. To allow greater flexibility for our patients needs, cervical smear tests are performed during normal surgery hours rather than during a specific clinic. However, please inform the receptionist if you are making an appointment for a smear test as a longer consultation is needed.
Health promotion and information clinics are offered by appointment. These include:
- Asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) advice
- Cardiovascular risk checks
- Heart disease and prevention
- Travel immunisation and advice
- Blood pressure checks
- Diabetes clinics
- Well person
- Contraception advice
Travel vaccinations: If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to contact the MASTA Travel Helpline before arranging an appointment with the practice nurse. Please note that a small charge may be made for this service by Masta.
Influenza vaccination: Influenza is responsible for many deaths and much disability each year. We have an active programme of annual influenza vaccination and the doctors strongly recommend vaccination for 
those most at risk.
You may require influenza vaccination if you are over the age of 65 or have any of the following:
- Chest or heart problems
- Diabetes
- Kidney disease
- Low immunity
- Asthma
- Chronic liver disease
