Health Visitors

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.

Midwife: You now self-refer to the local midwife at http://www.ekhuft.nhs.uk/pregnancy 

Physiotherapist: Your doctor is able to refer you to a fully qualified physiotherapist.

Counsellor: Your doctor is able to refer you to a qualified counsellor for things such as difficulty coping with anxiety, bereavement, or relationship difficulties. Consultations are held at the surgery.

District Nurses: We have close links with community nursing services. If community help is required our practice staff will contact the appropriate service.

Dietician: We can refer to the community dietician.
